Many steps are taken to provide the higest standards of plant quality and transplant survival. We start with premium bare root seedlings from the Kaibab Plateau seed source. Every seedling is hand planted to insure proper root placement.

As each tree grows it is root pruned annually confining the roots within the root ball. Every tree is also fertilized annually with the ideal nutrient balance.

The rows are flood irrigated at appropiate intervals resulting in consistantly well shaped trees with relatively small caliper trunks. The farm is inspected annually by the Colorado Department of Agriculture.

Next is the quality of the final product. At Spruce Point the trees are dug fresh to order. Trees are loaded in the afternoon with the delivery first thing in the morning the following day. With the latest digging equipment and an attitude of caring the trees you receive are the best.
